The founder of King Cycle Group, Chris King gained much of his machining knowledge from his experience working in the medical equipment manufacturing industry. One year after releasing an original headset design that he created in his free time in 1976, to which there was an overwhelming response, Chris King commenced King Manufacturing.
Obtaining an abundance of practical knowledge and experience in business management through King Manufacturing, Chris sold the company in 1987. New's of Chris King's technical abilities and manufacturing techniques over the years has gradually filtered its way through the road racing cyclist community; Chris now has a thriving reputation and following to match.
By 1991, Chris King components had reached such a high level of demand as to claim his full attention, along with providing the means for Chris to establish a new venture, King Cycle Group. Three years into the exciting project the King Cycle Group were an authoritative force in the industry and thoroughly able to turn their attention to the development of products aside from headsets.
