The 901 is part of Whyte’s XC Trail range of 26” aluminium hardtails. It’s basically a value-for-money version of their higher-end XC Trail Hardtails (which are called the “19” and come in titanium, steel and alloy versions). Whyte are a UK company who pride themselves on making bikes built to withstand the harsh and muddy trail conditions offered up in their part of the world, and they proudly state that the “…bearings are warranted for life in the wettest UK conditions.” This certainly inspires some confidence in the build quality of these mountain bikes.
